The Advanced Distributor Products (ADP) 76700242 Fan Motor is a replacement component for various residential HVAC systems, most commonly air handlers. An air handler is an indoor unit that circulates air throughout your home. The ADP Fan Motor works by driving a fan blade within the air handler. As the motor spins the fan blade, the air is pulled across the evaporator coil (during cooling mode) or the hot gas coil (during heating mode) transferring heat and conditioning the air. This conditioned air is then distributed throughout your home by the ductwork.
