Business Highlights: Soaring US dollar, Netflix rebound

The Nasdaq advanced 96.60 points, or 0.9%, to 10,772.40. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 337.98 points, or 1.1%, to 30,523.80. The Russell 2000 index of smaller companies added 20.20 points, or 1.2%, to 1,755.96.
Ten of the deaths involved vehicles made by Tesla, though it is unclear from the data whether the technology itself was at fault or whether driver error might have been responsible. The deaths included four crashes involving motorcycles that occurred during the spring and rochester learning center summer: Two in Florida and one each in California and Utah. The 11th death involved a Ford pickup truck.
