Noida : A thought-provoking seminar on the theme “What Constitutes Literature? Is Anything That Is Written Considered Literature?” was held during the 11th Global Literary Festival Noida 2025, supported by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), Asian Academy of Arts, and Writers Association of India. The session brought together eminent diplomats, writers, and thought leaders to reflect upon the definition and scope of literature in today’s evolving world.
The session was inaugurated by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and GLFN, who set the tone with a soulful poetry recital, emphasizing the timeless connection between emotions and words in defining literature. H.E. Capaya Rodriguez Gonzalez, Ambassador of Venezuela to India, shared her reflections on how literature transcends boundaries and becomes a universal bridge of culture and understanding.
Sanjay Chandra, Renowned Author, Coach, Arbitrator & Strategy Consultant, highlighted that literature must carry depth and meaning, shaping thought rather than remaining as mere documentation.
Lakshmi Valluri, Renowned Writer, emphasized the role of literature in preserving tradition, values, and collective memory of societies. Dr. P. K. Rajput, Thought Leader & Author, spoke about the philosophical essence of literature, asserting that literature is not just writing but a reflection of ideas that inspire transformation.
Karan Puri, Author & Digital Entrepreneur, expressed how literature has adapted to digital mediums, proving that creative expression remains relevant irrespective of the format. Awadhesh Singh, Renowned Author, added that literature requires responsibility from writers, as their words influence generations to come.
Arvind Mishra, Renowned Author, gave his ideas on the evolving definition of literature, where imagination and authenticity play equally important roles. Pawan Mathur, Renowned Author, concluded the session by asserting that literature must be both artistic and purposeful, carrying the power to enlighten and educate.
The seminar ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sushil Bharti, Festival Director, who appreciated the distinguished speakers for their invaluable insights and the audience for their enthusiastic participation.
