Dr. Sandeep Marwah Speaks at ‘Art for Peace – A Cultural Evening from Rwanda’ at Shri Ram Centre
New Delhi, July 2025: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor of AAFT University, was a distinguished speaker at the prestigious cultural evening titled “Art for Peace – A Cultural Evening from Rwanda” held at Shri Ram Centre, New Delhi. The event was gracefully organized by Fr. Roby Kannanchira, Director of the Chavara Cultural Centre, with the aim of fostering global harmony through the universal language of art.
In his compelling address, Dr. Marwah emphasized the vital role that art and culture play in promoting global peace and understanding. “Peace is not merely the absence of conflict but the presence of creative dialogue, cultural understanding, and shared humanity. Events like this remind us of the powerful connections that transcend borders,” he remarked.
The evening was graced by H.E. Jacqueline Mukangira, High Commissioner of Rwanda to India, who highlighted Rwanda’s inspiring journey of peacebuilding and resilience through cultural expression. “Our stories, dances, and music are living testaments to our spirit of reconciliation,” she noted with pride.
H.E. Reuben Gauci, High Commissioner of Malta to India, also addressed the gathering and applauded the initiative, emphasizing the importance of intercultural dialogue in a divided world. “Malta, like India and Rwanda, believes that cultural diplomacy is the bridge to peace and understanding,” he said.
The program witnessed the presence of a large number of diplomats, spiritual leaders, and prominent personalities from the art and culture fraternity, making it a remarkable confluence of cultures and ideologies united by the message of peace.
The event served as a vibrant reminder that in a world seeking healing and unity, the arts remain one of the most profound vehicles for transformation.
